Eighty-one suspected illegal immigrants from East Europe and South America were arrested when immigration staff supported by police swooped on a fruit farm at Great Chart, Ashford, Kent.
The Home Office said the detainees - 55 Czechs, 21 Poles, two Georgians, two Bolivians and a Peruvian - were being interviewed by officials. A man arrested in connection with offences relating to the employment of illegal immigrants was released on police bail.
