Woman dies

Yvonne Leighton, 28, a Jehovah's Witness of Washington, Tyne and Wear, died after suffering a haemorrhage during a routine operation at Sunderland General Hospital following the birth of her second child. Her religious beliefs barred her from having a blood transfusion.
