A vigilante who went to find two teenagers who had burgled his mother's home was convicted of manslaughter after a man he punched died when his head hit a wall. Michael Jones, 40, of Pen-y-graig, Rhondda, went to the home of Ronald Penrose, 43, with some friends in the belief he had been buying stolen goods, Cardiff Crown Court was told.
His nephew Ian Jones, 23, of Trealaw, and Michael Thomas, 27, of Tonypandy, were convicted of affray. All three were cleared of kidnapping Mr Penrose's son. Sentence was postponed. Howard Walsh, 47, and Kelly Thomas, 19, were acquitted of kidnapping.
