Straw's brother charged with teenage girl attack
The brother of Home Secretary Jack Straw, was been charged with common assault after it was alleged that he hit a teenager girl.
William Straw, 46, was arrested by police in his home town of Nottingham after being called to an incident.
A Nottinghamshire police spokesman said: "Police received a call at 9.45pm last night and as a result attended an address at Bramcote. A 46-year-old man was arrested for common assault on a 16-year-old female and taken to Beeston Police station where he was interviewed."
Mr Straw, who works for the Open University, was released on bail after being interviewed by the police.
He will appear before Nottingham magistrates on May 15.
