Your support makes all the difference.The 24-year-old father of a five-month-old baby has been charged with hismurder after an attack at a Tyneside Metro station, Northumbria Police said tonight.
A police spokesman said: "Trevor McDonald, of Eastbourne Gardens, Whitley Bay, will appear before magistrates in Newcastle tomorrow."
The spokesman said Mr McDonald was baby Connor's father.
The baby was found in a pram on Sunday afternoon by police called to the Manors Metro Station on the Tyne and Wear Metro system.
He had suffered multiple head and facial injuries and was taken to the intensive care unit at Newcastle General Hospital.
It is understood his mother had been at his bedside since he was admitted and was present when he died on Tuesday.
Police have released three male youths on bail pending further inquiries.
