Adrian Mathews was born in 1957 and brought up in London. Since 1988 he has worked as a lecturer in English literature at London University's Institute of Advanced Studies in Paris, the British Institute. His poems have appeared in London's Literary Review and in La Copie published in Paris, he is also a former winner of the National Poetry Competition.
