Tom Scott was born in Glasgow in 1918, and moved to London after the war. His poems were first published in 1941, and nine years later he won an Atlantic Award which allowed him to travel. His collections include Brand the Builder (Ember Press, 1975), The Tree (Borderline, 1977) and The Dirty Business (Luath Press, 1986).
