The Sun newspaper has apologised for publishing a picture of a woman wrongly described as being Frederick West's wife, a solicitor said last night. Mark Stephens said the paper had acknowledged its mistake following a threat of legal action from Irene Reed, a bank employee, of Cinderford, Gloucestershire.
