Remands in Wessex fraud case

Four men appeared before Winchester magistrates over an alleged pounds 500,000 fraud against Wessex Area Health Authority.

It is alleged that they conspired to defraud the authority over payments for services for which it was not liable. All were remanded on bail until 2 April. They were Arthur Tully, 57, of Chandler's Ford; Hamer Norman, 54, of Weeke; James Lewis, 55, of Bishopstoke, and William Baillie, 42, of Romsey, all Hampshire.
