Labour has won the seat of Vale of Clwyd in Wales from the Conservative party, the first seat of the night it has taken from the Tories.
It means the veteran politician Chris Ruane, who was the MP for Vale of Clwyd for 19 years until Labour's disastrous election result in 2015, returns to Westminster.
Mr Ruane took the seat with a majority of 2,379 votes ahead of the Tories' James Davies.
Mr Davies had won the seat in 2015 with a majority of just 237.
Mr Ruane was the Parliamentary Private Secretary to minister Peter Hain from 2003 until 2007, when he resigned in protest against the decision to replace Trident.
Results continue to come in. As of 1.50am, Labour have 30 seats to the Conservatives' 22 with 58 seats declared.
