Your support makes all the difference.LAW BILL: Legal aid totalling £369,000 has been paid so far for the former millionaire Kevin Taylor to sue Greater Manchester Police for malicious prosecution, the Home Office Minister of State, Baroness Blatch, disclosed. Mr Taylor, 62, claims he became a target of the force because of his friendship with a former deputy chief constable, John Stalker.
NAVAL STORES: The Armed Forces minister, Nicholas Soames, confirmed the 1997 closure of three naval stores, at Eaglescliffe, Cleveland; Wrangaton, Dartmoor; and Exeter. Mr Soames said an improved and more cost-effective system of stock distribution to the Royal Navy would result.
