Your support makes all the difference.STATE CARE: The numbers receiving income support for care in residential and nursing homes rose from 189,000 in May 1990 to 217,000 in May last year, Alistair Burt, a social security minister, told Andrew Bowden (C, Brighton Kemptown).
BREAK-INS: Burglaries recorded by the police in England and Wales rose from 544,037 in 1979 to 1,286,709 in the 12 months to June last year, Michael Jack, Home Office Minister of State, said. Of the lastest total, just over 664,000 were in people's homes.
