Your support makes all the difference.RAF JOBS THREAT: Redundancies could be caused by the decision to go ahead with plans to rationalise RAF ground training, Archie Hamilton, Minister for the Armed Forces, said in a written reply. Every effort would be made to find alternative employment but where redundancies occurred, staff would be entitled to periods of notice or pay in lieu and compensation.
An invitation to tender was also announced for a new attack helicopter to replace the Lynx helicopter in the anti-armour role. Jonathan Aitken, Minister for Defence Procurement, said the MoD would buy the aircraft and support package 'off the shelf' from a prime contractor after competition.
