Though Nick Clegg may have forgotten how to attract voters, the Deputy Prime Minister’s wife has not forgotten how she wooed him, revealing to a Spanish magazine that it was his willingness to learn how to cook omelettes and take up Sevillana dancing that swept her off her feet.
Speaking to Telva, Miriam Clegg said she viewed her future husband signing up to “try his hand” at her dancing classes as a “declaration of love”.
Ms Clegg, 44, said: “To put the icing on the cake, the first film that Nick saw in Brussels in Spanish was Wait For Me In Heaven,” a comedy.
She said she loves football and knows the line-ups of Arsenal and Barcelona.
