A review of the Class C drug ketamine has been ordered by the Home Office following concerns over its popularity among young people and the harm it can cause. Home Secretary Theresa May has instructed experts at the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) to update their advice. High doses can suppress heart function and lead to unconsciousness.
