Jack Dromey selected for safe Labour seat
Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman's husband, Jack Dromey, has been selected as a Labour candidate for the general election.
The deputy general secretary for the Unite union will stand in Birmingham Erdington. Mr Dromey was reported to have been looking for a safe seat since the summer. Labour held Birmingham Erdington with a majority of 9,575 at the last general election.
