Murder jury out for second night

The jury hearing the trial of Robert Black, 47, who is accused of the murders of three schoolgirls in the 1980s, spent a second night in a hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne after failing to reach verdicts on 10 charges relating to the kidnapping and murders of the children.

The former van driver is accused of the kidnappings and murders of Susan Maxwell, 11, Caroline Hogg, five, and Sarah Harper, 10, between 1982 and 1986, as well as kidnapping a fourth girl.
