A 63-year-old grandfather was robbed and left tied to a tree in a remote wood in Co Wicklow, Ireland, for three days before a passer-by found him suffering from hypothermia, dehydrated and unable to speak. Brendan Kavanagh, a shoe salesman, also had badly cut hands and arms.
He said he had been held up and robbed of IR pounds 600 by three men on Saturday. They blocked a country road near Redcross before pulling him from his car and beating him up.
