Hundreds are shown ignoring Covid-19 guidelines in a video shared with the Manchester Evening News.
The aftermath of the illegal gathering shows heaps of litter being left behind at the Castlefield Bowl - an outdoor events pavilion often used to stage live music.
One person reported there being a DJ set at the scene of the gathering.
A video timed around 10:20 pm shows a police officer making an arrest, after which point the gathering dispersed.

The reduction of lockdown restrictions means that people are now permitted to meet in groups of six outside, whilst still maintaining a two metre distance. Large gatherings of any more than six are not permitted.
Labour councillor in Machester, Jean Davies, said the numbers of attendees said "We want everybody to enjoy themselves but this is beyond a level which is tolerable.
"I think the police have a very, very difficult task, they’ve got to find that balance."
Following the illegal gathering in Castlefield Bowl, Pat Karney, a councillor in Manchester, tweeted: "We are going to see more of this in our parks and city centre spots.
"We need GMP (Greater Manchester Police) to be on top of the social media that brings them together. Residents who are obeying Covid regulations will be disgusted at these raves and p**s ups."
The Manchester Evening news report that locals state gatherings happen often in the area, however, the crowded party of 31 March is more “hectic” than those usually seen.
A rise in temperatures alongside the easing of restrictions has lead to many leaving their home and gathering with friends in the first time in months.
