THE FINALS of the national mock trial competition, sponsored by the Bar and organised by the Citizenship Foundation, are being held tomorrow at Southwark Crown Court. Pupils aged between 15 and 18 from 16 secondary schools nation-wide will take part in the event, which will be judged by Lord Justice Farquharson.

Members of the teams will play the roles of advocates, witnesses, jury and court staff, and will prosecute or defend in three criminal cases written by Anthony Hooper QC. The Lord Chancellor's Department has granted permission for the event to be photographed.
