The Home Office said last night that it was powerless to stop the black American Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan, whose anti-Semitic remarks have resulted in him being banned from Britain, from using a satelitte link to address a rally organised by the Islamic People's Trust at the Wembley Conference Centre.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews said Mr Farrakhan, 60, was 'deeply and offensively anti-Jewish' and his views were 'similar to the Nazis'.
Michael Whine, spokesman for the board, said: 'This satellite broadcast is a blatant attempt to evade the ban.'
