The unnamed 58-year-old died after the fall at the house in Church Street in Tetbury on Saturday.
The incident was reported to police at 5:45pm but it is believed the woman may have fallen down the well around two hours earlier.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: "Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics were also called to the scene and fire officers recovered the victim's body down the 15-metre-deep well.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.
"The woman's next of kin and the coroner have been informed."
