Thursday was the warmest day of the week for many, and Friday is expected to be another warm and dry day with long sunny spells. The hottest temperature yesterday was 24C in Herstmonceux, East Sussex.
Temperatures may be slightly lower compared to Thursday, but still reaching around 22C in London.
Some parts of Wales may see the odd shower and conditions are cloudier and cooler in the northern and eastern coasts of Scotland.
Friday night will be largely dry with clear skies in the evening – making tonight a good time for stargazing, as a drop in pollution across the country and less air traffic has led to more visible stars in the sky.
Patches of fog may develop overnight, with more cloud gathering in the south and west. A touch of frost may affect northern parts of Scotland.
As we head into the weekend, conditions are still expected to be dry but there is a growing chance of showers and temperatures will dip slightly on Saturday.
Conditions will be quite different for the north and the south of the UK on Sunday, with sunnier, warmer weather in the south but partly cloudy with showers in northern and western areas.
As we head into yet another week of lockdown, temperatures are expected to take quite a dip, with forecasts predicting highs of just 16C by Tuesday.
More showers or spells of rain are possible for many next week, which could be welcome respite for many gardens and parks that have been dealing with what has been a remarkably dry April.
But with spring, comes hay fever. Pollen levels have been high the past week and are expected to remain that way. Many have taken to social media to complain of hay fever, which affects millions of people every year.
There have been concerns from people who suffer from hay fever that their symptoms may be signs of contracting coronavirus. The main difference is that hay fever does not cause a high temperature or a new continuous cough.
