Swimmer, 16, has fatal heart attack

A rising swimming star who was tipped to be part of the British squad for the 2016 Olympics has died in bed at home.

Chloe Waddell, 16, from Timperley, Greater Manchester, went into cardiac arrest on Sunday morning and was pronounced dead in hospital. Chloe had been presented with an Outstanding Achievement Award the day before.

Police said the cause of death was not yet known but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
