With her bullet-repelling bracelets and unbreakable golden lasso which forces villains to tell the truth, she has been a force for good for over 70 years.

Yes, Princess Diana of Themyscira a.k.a. Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman has undoubtedly been the best superheroine of all time. But, has that squeaky-clean record been tarnished?

Perhaps not, but one school has, however, deemed the character ‘too violent’, according to one social media user.

The Reddit user posted a photo on Imgur of a letter her friend’s daughter brought home from school staff which left many online users scratching their heads.

Full transcript:

Dear Daniel and Sarah,

We noticed that Laura has a Wonder Woman lunchbox that features a super hero image. In keeping with the dress code of the school, we must ask that she not bring this to school.

The dress code we have established requests that the children not bring violent images into the building in any fashion — on their clothing (including shoes and socks), backpacks and lunchboxes. We have defined “violent characters” as those who solve problems using violence. Super heroes certainly fall into that category.

Please refer to the dress code section of the School Handbook.

Having been viewed almost 400,000 times, the now viral post – which contains images of a Wonder Woman lunchbox – parents Daniel and Sarah have been advised by the school to revaluate their daughter Laura’s choice of accessories.

“In keeping with the dress code of the school, we must ask that she not bring this to school,” declares the letter.

“We have defined ‘violent characters’ as those who solve problems using violence. Super heroes certainly fall into that category,” the parents are advised. Daniel and Sarah are then pointed towards the school’s handbook.

It is unknown where the school is, but the sarcasm levels on Reddit, unsurprisingly, gone overboard.
