A neighbour tried to record the sound of a woman being beaten to death instead of reporting the incident to police, a jury has heard.

Timothy Down heard loud noises coming from his neighbour's house, so he hung his mobile out of the window in an attempt to record it.

Natasha Bradbury's on-off boyfriend, Luke Jones, denies her murder.

Swansea Crown Court heard that Mr Down left an electronic note on his phone saying he felt it was better to stay away.

“There seems to be some kind of domestic aggression coming from apartment A. Seems to be a male. The time is approximately 12.45am. Banging and shouting. Do I go across or call the police. I feel it is better to stay away,” WalesOnline reported.

Mr Down said he was advised not to get involved by his father, who he called during the time of the incident.

His lawyers claim that he didn’t know he had been listening to Miss Bradbury’s murder.

Miss Bradbury died from extensive blunt force injuries. She suffered several fractures and bleeding in both the sack containing her heart and liver, WalesOnline reported.

The trial continues.
