The body of a man was found at a fire-ravaged house, police said today.

Officers were called to the property in Tudor Road, Leicester, by the fire service at around 8.45am yesterday morning.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said today that one man was confirmed dead but has not yet been formally identified.

He said: "It has not yet been determined whether there are any suspicious circumstances and fire and forensic investigators are currently at the scene working to determine the cause of the blaze."
