Tower Hamlets police have released footage of a man attacking a female cyclist during rush hour in Whitechapel.
The cyclist turned onto Sidney Street from Whitechapel Road, passing a man who was about to cross the road. She tells him “please do not try to knock me off”; to which the man, believed to be in his forties, replies “shut up”.
Seconds later, he reappears, shouting “You wanna put your finger up at me? You f*****g mug?” and pushes the cyclist to the floor.
In an appeal, the Met Police state the cyclist managed to get out of the road and did not require any medical treatment, but was left 'very upset'.
Anyone who can identify this man is asked to contact police on 101 quoting images 180410 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
