A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in fight at a flat in northeast London.
Police attended the property on Wilderton Road, Stamford Hill at 12:50am on Saturday after reports of a disturbance.
Officers found two people, a 20-year-old man and boy, 17, with stab injuries.
Both victims were taken to hospital, where the man was pronounced dead at 4:30am. The teenage boy’s condition is not believed to be serious, the Metropolitan Police said.
No arrest has been made and detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
So far this year in London alone there have been more than 20 youth murders, while knife crime against young victims across England and Wales has surged by 69 per cent in the last four years.
The Metropolitan Police has launched more than 80 murder investigations since the start of 2018.
Police are urging anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call 101 quoting CAD297/22September.
