A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman in Leeds.

The woman was left seriously injured on Friday morning, after what is thought to be a "domestic related" incident at an address in Richmond Hill, West Yorkshire Police said.

Staff from the ambulance service received a report about her condition and subsequently contacted police officers, who arrived at the address at 8.53 am.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, died at the scene.

The enquiry into her death is ongoing and the man arrested in connection with it remains in police custody.

Detectives "are not looking for anyone else in connection with " the victim's death, a spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said.
