Laurie Jones: Nurse's body found in river hours after she left work at hospital
Laurie Jayne Jones, 23, was reported missing when she didn't return home from her night shift

A nurse's body was found in a river hours after she clocked off from a hospital night shift.
Laurie Jayne Jones' body was discovered in a submerged car, less than 12 hours after she was reported missing, having failed to return to her home in Caerphilly.
Wearing her blue nurse's scrubs, the 23-year-old was last seen leaving the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
Gwent Police said her body was found in the River Sirhowy near the village of Wyllie on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers are not treating her death as suspicious and were said to be supporting her family members.
“Laurie's family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support, and for sharing the appeal to help find Laurie when she was reported as missing," Gwent Police said in a statement. “They ask that they are now left alone to grieve in private as a family.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Laurie Jones at this tragic time.”
