Between 15cm and 25cm of snow is predicted over the weekend in the Highlands, after much of Scotland and Northern Ireland were blanketed by snow yesterday.

A band of Arctic weather made its way across the UK, bringing heavy snowfalls and difficult driving conditions in some parts. Warnings were issued to motorists in the Stirling and Perthshire areas, and conditions are expected to worsen.
