A legal attempt to expose the UK’s involvement in American drone attacks has been blocked by the High Court.

Lawyers representing Noor Khan, whose father was killed in an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in March 2011, claimed that British intelligence could be guilty of encouraging murder, or even war crimes, by supplying information to the CIA.

But yesterday, refusing permission for a judicial review, Lord Justice Moses said: “The real aim is to persuade this court to make a public pronouncement designed to condemn the activities of the United States in North Waziristan.”
