Your support makes all the difference.A mother has taken to Facebook to thank a supermarket worker for helping to calm her blind and autistic daughters during a shopping trip.
Amanda Wilkins described how her two daughters became overwhelmed and started to have a “meltdown” in the Basingstoke branch of Morrisons last weekend.
She said the “very kind lady decided to help instead of judge”.
“It doesn’t happen very often”, she added.
“She distracted my daughter by letting her scan all my shopping. A dream come true for Holly who loves playing ‘shops’.
“It melts my heart to come across people that are prepared to go the extra mile, and little acts of kindness makes a massive difference to my world”.
The post has now been shared over 90,000 times and attracted nearly half a million likes.
Other parents commenting on the post said the woman was fantastic with their children.
One parent, Samantha Elliott, said: “Our daughter adores her.
“Lin has always made such a fuss over our little girl Bella and even let Bella sit in her fab car when we spotted her leaving work one day.
“Morrisons are very lucky to have such a lovely lady working there”.
Morrisons appeared to agree. A spokeswoman posted a reply on Facebook saying: "Well, I don't know where to start with this one Amanda just reading this story has brought a tear to my eye.
“What an amazing lady (Lin) is and what a credit she is to our company, we are very proud to say she works for Morrisons. Lin is a great role model for all of us here at Morrisons.
“It's amazing how something small can make a massive difference to others and it’s lovely to hear that one of your daughter’s dreams has been brought to life by this act of kindness.
“I'm sure Lin will be looking forward to seeing you are your family in the store again.”
