The 22-year-old was last seen in the early hours of Saturday when her friends dropped her off at home at the end of a night out in Merthyr Tydfil town centre.
Detectives previously said they believed the rugby player did not enter her home in Bontnewydd Terrace, in the village of Trelewis, south Wales.
Officers searched rivers and waterways near Ms Morris’ home on Wednesday.
“Police officers carrying out searches of rivers and waterways near Trelewis... sadly located the body of a woman in a stretch of the River Taff earlier this afternoon,” a South Wales Police spokesperson said.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Brooke’s family have been informed and continue to be supported.”
The 22-year-old is believed to have walked towards a bridge near her home, after being dropped off.
Volunteers and the rugby player’s clubmates at Nelson RFC helped police search in woodland and rivers in the area near her home, while the Central Brecon Mountain Rescue team were involved in the search on Sunday.
Ms Morris’ team shared several appeals on social media, asking for information about her whereabouts.
The Welsh Rugby Union and former international and BBC commentator Jonathan Davies have also shared appeals.
