Three British holidaymakers reported missing off Sardinia have been found, the Foreign Office said.
The alarm was raised when the tourists failed to return to their campsite last night after setting out to sea on a canoeing trip off the Italian island's southern coast.
It is thought that the Britons - two women and a man said to be in their 40s and from North Wales and northern England - spent the night on a smaller island before returning to shore this morning.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "They have been found safe and well."
Falmouth Coastguard in Cornwall helped the Italian authorities obtain contact details for the Britons' families.
