Your support makes all the difference.A British soldier died in an explosion in southern Afghanistan yesterday, the Ministry of Defence has announced.
The soldier, from 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment, was killed in a blast from an improvised explosive device to the south of Nahr-e-Saraj, west of Kandahar in Helmand province. The next of kin have been informed.
A total of 350 UK military personnel have now died since operations in Afghanistan began in 2001.
