Your support makes all the difference.A three-year-old boy was killed when a marble fireplace fell on him, police said today.
The youngster, named locally as James Curtis, died in hospital following the tragedy at his home in Wirral, Merseyside.
Merseyside Police said emergency services were called to the address in St Catherine's Gardens, Tranmere, at around 11am yesterday.
A spokesman added: "Paramedics attended and took the boy to hospital where he unfortunately died.
"Officers are in attendance at the property as is normal procedure following the sudden or unexplained death of a child.
"An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is ongoing."
A post-mortem examination will be carried out.
