Seven-year-old Nikki Allen, who was found dead in a Sunderland warehouse close to her home on the Wear Garth estate on Thursday, was battered to death with a brick, police said yesterday. Police believe photographs taken by journalists near the warehouse may hold clues to the identity of the killer.
