A young woman who lured a professional gambler into a deadly “honey-trap” in an attempt to steal his winnings has been jailed after he was kicked to death.

Leonie Granger, 25, was jailed today for 16 years at the Old Bailey Court in London after deliberately ensnaring 56-year-old Mehmet Hassan in March last year in a honey-trap that led to his death.

Granger, who previously worked with the elderly, was found guilty of Mr Hassan's manslaughter and false imprisonment, having earlier admitted a plot to rob him.

The court heard how Granger let her boyfriend Kyrron Jackson, 28, and his friend Nicholas Chandler, 29, into Mr Hassan’s flat.

Once inside the two men kicked and stamped on Mr Hassan leaving him with multiple broken bones. The elderly man died face down in his bedroom in a pool of his own blood.

Both men were found guilty for his murder and were jailed today for life with a minimum of 36 years.
