Woman denies murdering four-year-old daughter
A woman accused of murdering her four-year-old daughter appeared in court to deny the charge today.
Zoe David, 34, is alleged to have killed Zoey-Anne David at their home in the Maesglas area of Newport, south Wales, on June 19.
David appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today and spoke briefly to give a not guilty plea when the murder charge was put to her.
She had been remanded in custody "for her own protection" to the Caswell Clinic in Bridgend following her arrest earlier this summer.
She was granted bail today on the condition that she reside at the same secure clinic until the next hearing.
The case was then adjourned to the same court on December 18.
