A 20-year-old woman had two cigarettes put out on her face while walking home from a south-east London nightclub by two men.

Chloe Helson had been on a night out with friends at Pure Nightclub in Bexleyheath when she decided to walk home in the early hours.

Ms Henson, who has autism, was approached by two "intoxicated" men who started throwing insults at her.

Her aunt, Emma Duke told the Evening Standard: "She was approached by two men who shouted things at her like ‘fat s***’, calling her names.

"So she pretended she was meeting her boyfriend to try and make them go away but then they caught up with her."

According to Ms Duke, 29, they knocked her to the ground, banged her head on the pavement before they "both put their cigarettes out on her face".

She added: "I’ve just been round to see her and she’s obviously in a right state.

"It’s shocking, it’s scary and dangerous to think that, that can happen to a poor girl."

A Kent Police spokesman said: A report of an assault has been made in an area around the border of Bexleyheath and Dartford between 12.50am and 3am.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
