Vicky Pryce is moved to open jail
Vicky Pryce has been moved to an open jail after spending only four nights in Holloway prison, it was reported today. The ex-wife of the former minister Chris Huhne was jailed for eight months last week after a jury found her guilty of perverting the course of justice over his speeding offence.
On Friday, Pryce, 60, was transferred from the closed Holloway prison in north London to East Sutton Park prison in Maidstone, Kent.
The Ministry of Justice’s website describes the category-D jail in the weald of Kent as “a pleasant mansion house” that prepares adults and young women offenders for “resettlement into the community”.
