Two men found guilty of assisting female serial killer Joanna Dennehy
Gary Stretch and Leslie Layton were found guilty of helping Dennehy, who murdered three men last March
Two men have been found guilty of helping triple killer Joanna Dennehy during her 10-day campaign of violence.
Dennehy, 31, murdered three men in Cambridgeshire over a 10-day period last March.
In the hearing at Cambridge Crown Court, Gary Stretch, 47, of Riseholme, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, was found guilty of three charges of preventing the lawful burial of three men and one count of attempted murder.
Leslie Layton, 36, of Bifield, Orton Goldhay, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
Dennehy, of Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, admitted in November to the murders of Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, Kevin Lee, 48, and John Chapman, 56.
She also admitted preventing the lawful and decent burial of all three victims and two charges of attempted murder.
The three men were all stabbed in the heart and their bodies were dumped in ditches in Cambridgeshire
Prosecutor Peter Wright QC said during the trial that Stretch and Layton “came under the spell of Dennehy”, while two of her victims were also fatally attracted to her.
The jury is still deliberating on one charge of attempted murder against Stretch and two counts of preventing a lawful burial against Layton.
Stretch and Layton have denied the charges against them.
