A murder investigation is underway after two people died at a house in Stansted, police have said.
A man and a woman were found injured when officers and ambulance staff arrived at the property on Wednesday night but were later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody, Essex Police have said.
A force spokesman said: "We were contacted just before 11pm and attended an address in Bentfield Gardens alongside the amublance service to find a man and a woman injured inside. Sadly both were pronounced dead."
