Abigail Witchalls, left for dead after being stabbed while walking with her toddler son, has given birth to a baby girl, it was reported today.

The 31-year-old was stabbed in the neck by a man who attacked her near her home in Little Bookham, Surrey, in 2005. Her son Joseph witnessed the stabbing, thought to have been carried out by 23-year-old Richard Cazaly, who later killed himself.

Mrs Witchalls was then 10 weeks pregnant with her second son Dominic, who was born as she recovered from her injuries.

Her husband Benoit told The Sun she has now given birth to a daughter, whom they have named Rebecca.

He told the newspaper the family were "blessed", saying: "We couldn't be more delighted. It's fantastic. Abigail is doing really well and is incredibly happy."

Mrs Witchalls was left paralysed in the attack and now uses a wheelchair.
