Royal Navy warship in £58m Caribbean drugs haul
A Royal Navy warship deployed in the Caribbean has seized cannabis and cocaine with a street value of £58m in two raids just days apart.
The seizure of 400kg of cocaine and almost 1.2 tonnes of marijuana has been praised as a "fantastic success" for the vessel, which has carried out four major drugs busts in as many weeks. HMS Lancaster's helicopter chased a speedboat, collecting 17 packages of cocaine dumped overboard. Sailors recovered the cannabis ditched from another boat.
