Racist guilty of terror plot
A white supremacist whose racist group manufactured the deadly poison ricin and downloaded manuals about how to make bombs has been
found guilty of terrorism offences.
Nicky Davison, 19, from Annfield Plain, Co Durham, was convicted of three separate charges of possessing records useful in committing or preparing acts of terrorism.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that, along with his father, he was part of a group called the Aryan Strike Force, which plotted to overthrow the Government.
The man's father, Ian Davison, 41, had already admitted preparing for acts of terrorism and producing a chemical weapon, ricin.
Nicky Davison had denied any knowledge of the documents, telling the court that a "mischievous" friend had downloaded them. In his defence, he said he joined the group to please his father and that he was now "disgusted" by his views. Both men will be sentenced on 14 May.
