Man arrested on suspicion of murder after death of woman in Dorset
Police exploring ‘all lines of enquiry’ to determine cause of death
Police in Dorset have launched an investigation following the death of a woman in Poole and arrested one man on suspicion of murder.
Officers received a report from the ambulance service of the sudden death of a 44-year-old woman at an address in Cashmoor Close at around 6am on Sunday.
Police gave no explanation for the cause of death. The woman’s next of kin have been informed.
A 46-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is "helping officers with their enquiries”, said a spokesperson for the force.
Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends.
“At this time it is not clear what the cause of the death is, but we are following all lines of enquiry and a detailed investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.”
Dorset Police are appealing for people who were in the area and may have information that could assist with the investigation to get in touch.
