A police detective has pleaded guilty to poisoning a colleague, a court official said.
Detective Constable Gary Quigley, 46, who worked at the Metropolitan Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Command in Stratford, East London, laced a soft drink with anti-freeze and left it in an office fridge. The officer that subsequently drank it needed treatment in hospital but has since made a recovery.
